Requesting Responda FAQs

Requesting Responda FAQs
What is the response or arrival time once I place a request?
Responda aims to reach your property within 40 minutes but you will be given a more accurate arrival time once the request is placed.
What kind of notification will I get?
Once you send a Responda request, you will receive App notifications of each status, eg. Officer has been dispatched; Officer has arrived at the property and Officer has indicated no sign of forced entry at your property. You will need to ensure you have turned on to receive updates under the App setting.
How will I know what the Officer has found at my property?
When our Officer has completed the job, they will share an ‘Attendance Report’ via the App. This report will include a brief description of the Officer’s findings as well as photos if relevant to show the property status or damage to the property.
What if I am still not happy with the Attendance Report?
You can call the FIRST Security Operations Centre to talk to our operators or go to the App help and support section and look for which job request you are not happy with and tell us what you need help with.
Can I request more than one Security Officer to multiple sites?
No, you can only select one address at a time. You are able to select another address once the previous job is finished.
Do I need to have a self-monitored security system at my property to use Responda?
No, a security system is not a requirement for Responda. Anyone can download and use this service for security patrols.
What are the payment options?
We currently have credit and debit cards (VISA and MasterCard only) facilities, with more payment options to come.
Can businesses use Responda or is it just for residential addresses?
Yes, businesses can use Responda in the same way. You just need to register your business address. Please provide as much information as you can about accessing your business property.
What do you need to know about the property before a Responda is dispatched?
Security questions are asked about the property prior to dispatch. If further clarification is required, you will receive a phone call from the FIRST Security Operations Centre.
The address provided will be validated in the registration process to ensure details are correct.
Will I be able to communicate directly with the Security Officer?
No, all communications will be via the App. If intervention is required, the FIRST Security Operations Centre will communicate between the customer and the Security Officer.
What if the Officer finds an intruder at the address?
Just as procedures dictate now, the Police will be called to attend. The Security Officer onsite can only assist where safe to do so, for example by waiting onsite for the Police to secure access.
